Pap your pooch at a photo booth for dogs

Many of us dog owners are already familiar with the world of Instagram, frequently updating followers with our pooch’s daily antics. But now, there’s another way to have some photo fun as London’s Leadenhall Market hosts a new pop-up booth especially for dogs.

Yes, that’s right! Leadenhall Dogstagram opens this Wednesday and it’s designed just for papping your pooch. So, what can you expect? Basically, there’ll be four photo stations to choose from. Each with a unique backdrop and all the props you need to have a bit of a laugh snapping your dog. With Jurassic Bark, Flower Pooch Patch, the Toy Box and Puparazzi Ready themes, there’s something to suit all breeds.

Plus, you’re invited to enter your dog’s photos into a special competition. And if you’re lucky, it could bag you a smart Barbour dog jacket, collar and lead. Along with some luxury doggie treats too. Simply upload your photo station pic to insta, tagging #Leadenhalldogstagram. The winner will be chosen later in the year by food, travel and lifestyle photographer, David Loftus.

Why is this fun dog-friendly attraction opening? Well, it’s partly in response to the increased number of Londoners and city visitors who are dog owners. It’s no secret that many of us acquired a pet during lockdown. Now, Leadenhall Market is celebrating their dog-friendly policy with the launch of this doggie-centric photo station.

About Leadenhall Market and its dog-friendly places

There’s been a market in this part of the City of London since Roman times. Leadenhall’s open air, covered marketplace was rebuilt in the Victorian era and features some glorious architecture and cobbled passageways. And it’s ideal for exploring with your dog in tow. Whether you fancy dining, shopping or browsing, you can bring your canine companion with you.

Pups and owners can enjoy refreshments in The Lamb Tavern, which is the market’s oldest pub. Here the Woof & Brew Bottom Sniffer doggie ‘beer’ is sure to be a hit. Or perhaps your pooch will prefer a Frozzy’s lickable frozen yoghurt from dairy experts Cheese Leadenhall? And we hear you can get some delicious dog biscuits in the Barbour clothes shop too. of course, water bowls are also available throughout the market to keep your pooch hydrated the traditional way!
