This week, we spotted some lovely doggy designs from artist and designer Simon Hart. His quirky dog designs feature 52 of our favourite dog breeds on biscuit tins, mugs, coasters and bags. What’s more, you can personalise each item with your dog’s name or a special message!
Simon Hart is a Devon-based artist and designer who has created many much-loved designs from wildlife to colourful seascapes. But he recently he has turned his unique collage style designs to feature some of our best-loved dog breeds.
Hart has come up with designs for some of our favourite breeds including the Border Terrier, Border Collie, Cockapoo, French Bulldog and Dachshund. As well as breeds including the Dandie Dinmont, Bernese Mountain Dog, Cairn Terrier and Shetland Sheepdog.
Each depiction of a dog breed, or Pawtrait as Hart calls them, is full of quirky character and made from a collage of patterns such as newsprint, music sheets, maps, tweed and tartan. The designs are printed on mugs, placemats, coasters, cushions, purses and compacts. But perhaps best of all, biscuit tins!
What I like best though, is the option to personalise them. You’re allowed up to 500 characters of your choosing. Perfect for a gift to another dog-loving friend, or for your dog’s very own personalised dog biscuit tin!
